Introduction

I decided to dedicate my life to healing. As a result, I joined nursing school where I got to learn about all kinds of diseases and medications. The more I learned however, the less I wanted to use these medications. Without treatment though, disease will stay in your body and slowly destroy it. Medications are there to slow down the process. This is where the big question comes up: Are these medications really slowing it down and curing the diseases?

In some cases yes, in most cases no. In fact some medications are causing more damage then we can imagine. If we would just stop for a second and listed to our own body, we would understand it. Have you ever wondered why most medications have a side effect of nausea and vomiting? Human body is one of the most incredible things nature created. It’s perfect. It doesn’t make mistakes (except for autoimmune diseases that is). Vomiting is one of the protection mechanisms our bodies have. Every time you ingest something that can harm you, your body will try to get rid of it. When a person has too much to drink, body would try to get alcohol out through vomiting. When we take medication that can harm us, our body will do the same thing. Next time you take a pill that has a side effect of nausea and vomiting, think about it. What does that pill do to you that your body wants to stop it from doing?

Have you ever seen the warning signs on medications about liver or kidney disease? The reason you can not take some of the medications if you have liver or kidney disease is because that medication can destroy your liver and your kidneys. Liver and kidneys are helping us get rid of the toxins in our body. This is why people with substance abuse have a higher chance of liver and kidney failure. Illegal drugs are not the only things that can damage your liver and kidneys, medications can do it too. Medications are often time toxic, so when you are taking it, liver has to work overtime to neutralize these toxins, kidneys have to work to filter toxins out of your blood. They work so hard that they end up getting damaged. I recently had a chance of meeting a person who ended up with kidney failure due to a use of medication that she was on for years.

Side effects that they mention on the packages look scary, but they are not telling you the whole story. Let’s take some of the most popular medications, beta-blockers. This group of medications includes medications like Lopressor and Toprol XL. These medications are used to lower blood pressure and to treat heart conditions. One of the side effects you can find listed for such medication is muscle ache. The truth is, it’s not just muscle ache. Beta-blockers can break down muscle fibers. Now, I’m not talking just about skeletal muscles, heart muscles get broken down too. Keep in mind; this is the kind of medication people can be taking for years. Every day they have more and more muscle fibers broken down by this drug. Often times when someone who is taking this medication goes to a doctor to complain of pain, a doctor gives some pail killers. How long would it take for a heart to break down to such an extend that a person would have a heart attack? When this person will get a heart attack, will the doctor say that it was because of the medication or because of high blood pressure?

So, if medications are not always the best way to treat your condition, then what is? For centuries people used medicine that nature gave up. For centuries people went into the woods and collected herbs that can help them. Herbs are not always the fastest treatment, they don’t act as fast as traditional medicine, but they work. I personally tried a few on myself and my loved once and the results were great. If used properly and researched well, herbal remedies can keep you healthy. Non traditional medicine is great in treatment of diseases, but it’s even better at prevention. Non traditional medicines have side effects, but they are rare and most of them can be avoided. So far I encountered only one side effect of a remedy that was used to treat cold. It was more of a reaction of two remedies with one another then a side effect, but after taking two non traditional medications at the same time, both to treat flu, patient had a huge spike in temperature. If he were to take only one remedy at a time, he would most likely be able to avoid this reaction.

Price is important these days. Truth is, a lot of people simply can’t afford medications. Those who have insurance are not hurt by it as much, but even they might have to pay for some of the cost of these super expensive medications. Good news, traditional remedies are much cheaper. I found places where you can get a box of almost any herb for $2.00

The problem with non traditional medicine is that it’s not always easy to find out what can help in each case. You need to do a research and find our exactly what is out there and how it will help. You then need to go out and try to find a place that sells it. Not only that, but the form this specific remedy is in at the store you found it at might not be the right one for you. You might need it in a liquid form instead of a capsule, you might need it as a tea or some other way. You have to find out exactly what form you need it at. Some remedies require special preparations too. It’s not always as simple as taking a pill. Sometimes it is though.

I already found a few remedies and for some diseases out there, and I have them all sitting in my head trying to find someone who needs them. This is what this blog will be used for, to connect me with people who need information that I have. From now on, I will be posting about different diseases and their treatments. I will explain about each disease, about traditional treatments and about non traditional treatments. Feel free to ask me questions. If you have a disease that you are struggling with, let me know and I will try to find a way to help you.
